The land coverage categories for the Landuse Map was obtained by LandSat 5 Satellite on July 24th , 2008. All of the land use categories and quotients were provided by the Atlanta Regional Commission to determine the percent of impervious coverage for the watershed of City of Sandy Springs, Georgia during the year of 2008. The final results are that the percentage of impervious cover is 27.19%.
Area of interest due to a high impervious quotient was Apartments and Townhouses.
